AN EVENING WITH STUDIO DANIEL LIBESKIND: 2008 PRESIDENT’S AWARD RECIPIENT

AIA New York Presents an Evening in Celebration of Architecture Week

In celebration of Architecture Week, the AIA chapter of New York will host An Evening with Studio Daniel Libeskind, one of the world’s most innovative and cutting-edge architecture firms, Wednesday, October 29, 2008, 5:30-8:00pm, at the Center for Architecture, 536 LaGuardia Place, Manhattan.  This event is free and open to the press.

Please join AIA New York for a special evening featuring a visionary design firm whose projects are changing the way we experience the built environment. Studio Libeskind will be the recipient of the President's Award at this year's Heritage Ball, taking place on Thursday, October 30th, for its significant contributions to the design of major international cultural buildings and urban projects. Daniel and Nina will share their thoughts on the development and importance of design across the globe. Daniel will speak about the way he imagines buildings and urban projects to be crafted with perceptible human energy, so that they speak to the larger cultural community in which they are built, and expand the horizons of architecture and urbanism.
