DANIEL LIBESKIND LECTURES AT LONDON FESTIVAL OF ARCHITECTURE

Hundreds Attend ‘Breaking Ground: Daniel Libeskind in Conversation’

Daniel Libeskind was a featured speaker at the London Festival of Architecture Tuesday, in conversation with Deyan Sudjic, Director of the Design Museum, London.  Hundreds were in attendance as Libeskind and Sudjic spoke about the key issues facing architects today, why Daniel started building so late in life, and how he adapted to working in an office team environment.  Daniel also discussed his many past projects that have propelled him to the level he is at today and his current projects which have benefited from that experience.

Daniel Libeskind is one of the world’s foremost architects; best known for designing The Jewish Museum in Berlin and The Imperial War Museum North in Manchester, and for his role in the planned rebuilding of the World Trade Centre, New York. His ideas have influenced a new generation of architects and those interested in the future development of cities and culture. Deyan Sudjic is Director of the Design Museum, London and former architecture critic for The Observer.

The London Festival of Architecture runs from 20 June – 20 July and includes street installations, exhibitions, guided walks, cycle rides, boat tours of the city's river and canals, parties, design workshops, debates, breakfast talks, and weekend street markets.
