The motto for Milan's bid is "Feeding the Planet; Energy for Life,” with focus on the environment and shaping sustainable human spaces.  The exhibition will run for six months, creating jobs and infusing revenue into the host city.

Libeskind said, “This is an exciting day for the City of Milan, Italy and the world.  Milan has always been a metropolis open to the world and this new challenge will be another success in its long history.  I am proud to have been apart of this team, helping to bring the World Expo to Milan in 2015.
