Imperial War Museum North Named One of England’s Top Ten Buildings of Last 100 Years by British Rough Guide

The multi-award winning Imperial War Museum North has been named one of the top ten English buildings of the last century by the latest Rough Guide to England. The museum joins other architectural wonders across England, the full list (in date order of completion) is:

Imperial War Museum North, recently crowned one of the top 3 Large Visitor Attractions in England in 2007, is six years old this July. In that time the Museum has welcomed over 1.6 million visitors of all ages from all over the world and won over 20 prestigious awards.

The Imperial War Museum North was the first building in the UK by Daniel Libeskind, whose concept for the project is that of a globe shattered into fragments and then reassembled on that site as an iconic emblem of conflict.
