Daniel Libeskind participated in New York Dialogues – Urban Design and Memorials Panel Discussion, in connection with the Berlin in Lights Festival on November 5, 2007 at the German Consulate in New York City. Mr. Libeskind joined Moderator Ron Shiffman, former Pratt Center for Community Development Director, as well as other panelists to discuss the connection between collective memory and commemoration. He spoke to a packed room, filled with those interested in his World Trade Center Master Site Plan; the Jewish Museum Berlin; Memoria e Luce – The September 11th Memorial in Padua, Italy; and many more of his projects.
