CNN International’s ‘Design for Good’ Series Airs August 30th

CNN International’s series Principal Voices will debut a new documentary about urban planners who are changing the way we experience the built environment called “Design for Good,” presented by Charles Hudson, August 30 through September 1, 2008 on CNN International.

Daniel Libeskind, founder of Studio Daniel Libeskind, is one of three Contributors to Design for Good, joined by Cameron Sinclair, Executive Director and Co-founder of Architecture for Humanity, and Peter Head, Director of Urban Design and Development at Arup.  CNNI will run 90 second vignettes on each of the three Contributors, previewing the documentary’s air date of August 30th and detailing how these individuals are creating new spaces that enrich the lives of communities all across the world.  Whether it be designing efficient skyscrapers, creating whole cities which aim to be carbon neutral or re-building out of the rubble created by natural disasters, these architects are changing the way we experience the built environment, finding solutions to the ecological challenges -- big and small -- of the 21st century.

Principal Voices is stimulating discussion on the major challenges facing the world today. As in previous years, Principal Voices is bringing together some of the world's leading thinkers in their respective fields. In 2008 Principle Voices will be discussing the Economics of Energy, Design for Good and Climate Change.
